ESSENTIAL Job Functions AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and provide Legal advice regarding Commercial, Individual, Specialty and Medicare Supplement benefits, benefit books and other materials.
- Review and provide Legal advice regarding Company Marketing and communication materials, including advertisements, letters, flyers, websites, social media and other materials.
- Manage required submission of Company advertisements, benefit books and other materials to the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI), including review and response to DIFI requests and inquiries.
- Negotiate and draft vendor, provider and other contracts as assigned.
- Review, summarize and provide Legal advice regarding state and federal laws impacting the Company.
- Manage Legal Department review of state and federal statutes, regulations and other laws impacting the Company.
- Represent the Plan at certain local and national conferences, as needed.
- Perform public speaking activities both in the Plan and to community organizations concerning relevant Legal and healthcare issues.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.

- Intermediate skill in use of office equipment, including copies, fax machines, scanner and telephones
- Intermediate PC proficiency
- Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing

- Capable of Legal and analytical research
