Director of Legal Operations

Responsibilities · Overseeing the integrity of all legal work. · Keep members informed of firm business matters and management decisions of interest to them. · Meet with attorneys to find solutions to specific legal obstacles and support services challenges that cannot be handled by the firm’s administrative directors and managers. · Lead recruitment and selection process for attorneys across all departments. · Maintain optimal balance between tiers of attorneys. · Keep members informed of practice management and client service activities through frequent discussions with practice group leaders and other members and staff to ensure that appropriate levels of support are being provided. · Conduct attorney reviews, particularly captains and if necessary, associate attorneys, that are within the purview of the Director of Legal Operations. · Address disputes among attorneys and non-legal staff, according to the jurisdiction of the Director of Legal Operations. · When owners are unavailable, the Director of Legal steps in to assist clients, demonstrating versatility and a commitment to client satisfaction. · Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the firm's smooth and efficient functioning. This includes reviewing and approving disbursement statements. · Play a pivotal role in establishing and sustaining an annual law intern program, conducting interviews, and influencing hiring decisions based on candidates' qualifications.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Law Degree - Georgia State law license
- Three to five years of Personal Injury/ Workers; Compensation law experience required
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience required
- Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong writing and demonstrated intercultural communication ability
- High-level of proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel and database programs
