We are seeking a dynamic and experienced legal professional to join our team as the Vice President, and Associate General Counsel. In this key leadership role, you will be accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of contracts. You must have strong business acumen, attention to detail, and thrive in a challenging environment, and play a pivotal part in supporting our continued growth while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will possess a strong legal background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to provide strategic counsel to the Company’s leaders. Previous experience working in Healthtech is an added plus. This position reports to the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer.

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day legal matters, including drafting and solidifying standard agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Manage a team of attorneys and legal professionals.
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other business functions, including Sales leadership, and develop solutions that support the growth of the Company while appropriately managing the legal risk to the Company.
  • Work with different business functions to assist and support external and internal audits.
  • Maintain knowledge of potential changes in legal or regulatory requirements that impact the Company.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of health care laws and regulations, including without limitation the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims, ERISA, and State insurance laws.
  • Work closely with business units to understand their objectives and provide legal support to facilitate successful transactions.
  • Oversee and manage litigation matters, working closely with external counsel when necessary.
  • Develop strategies for dispute resolution and ensure the protection of the Company's interests.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, outside counsel, and industry associations.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate (JD) Degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the bar.
  • 10-15 years of proven experience as a legal counsel, corporate in-house experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience managing legal teams and driving successful legal strategies.
  • Strong judgment and a high degree of personal ethics, integrity, and accountability.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal matters involving multiple stakeholders and various priorities.
  • Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easily.
