The Senior Associate General Counsel, Global Legal Strategy Head is responsible for assessing, developing, and leading strategic initiatives for the company, with a substantial focus on new geographic markets. The Senior Associate General Counsel will have two direct reports and will report to the Vice President, Global Legal Strategy & Policy Counsel.
This team member will need to have demonstrated ability to independently identify practical legal solutions to complex challenges, strong focus on executing goals and the ability to influence others. The Senior Associate General Counsel will be responsible for cross-functional engagements with related Legal, OEC, or cross-function counterparts as needed to inform strategic initiatives and build cohesive AbbVie strategies. The Senior Associate General Counsel will also develop key external engagements for active policy shaping and strategy.
The Senior Associate General Counsel also will need demonstrated leadership communication skills as they will be responsible for providing legal advice to senior leadership in the Company. This position helps business leaders create strategies that will be effective, sustainable and executable within and outside the United States. The position also advises on critical access strategies and initiatives and supports innovative solutions in a fast-evolving market and regulatory landscape. This role partners with Government Affairs to help shape and prepare for regulatory changes.
