Responsibilities:

• Manage Firm case lists
• Create and calendar case task lists
• Maintain /calendar case deadlines
• Prepare /finalize drafts of legal filings (pleadings, discovery)
• Conduct legal research
• e-File documents with Courts
• Provide status updates to current clients
• Attend and conduct hearings, depositions, and bench trials
• Timekeeping

The perfect candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience working in the legal profession. We are a team of 2 attorneys and 1 legal administrator, so hiring the right fit is incredibly important to us.    Requirements:

• An active Georgia Bar license with no disciplinary history;
• At least 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation or commercial real estate;
• Experience with MyCase or Lawmatics a plus;
• Bankruptcy experience a plus;
• A friendly and helpful attitude;
• Attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple priorities at once;
• Excellent communication skills.

Downs Law is a boutique commercial real estate firm that focuses on providing the highest quality legal services to our clients. Our primary practice areas are business litigation, commercial real estate and landlord/tenant matters, commercial collections, construction, and HOA disputes. We take pride in being personal, trustworthy, thoughtful, and creative. We are located in Glenwood Park, between Grant Park and the East Atlanta Village. This is an in-person position with some flexibility with respect to the hours worked.
