JOB SUMMARY The MBS Group (“MBS”) seeks a junior attorney to join our Legal Department. The ideal candidate will be a quick and dynamic thinker with excellent judgment who is capable of managing a variety of legal matters, from stage licensing to litigation. While real estate, entertainment, and/or litigation experience is helpful, given the variety of work, no specific background is required for this role and MBS will provide in-house training.   MBS’s Legal Department handles a high-volume of workload across the company’s diverse and growing studio and production equipment operations, currently operating more than Ten Billion Dollars in assets. This role will be a key part of this global media platform.   In this role, the Associate Counsel will negotiate and advise on an array of leasing and licensing matters for MBS’s studio and general real estate portfolio, general commercial matters for MBS’s equipment company, as well as the many varied legal aspects of operating a large (and growing) global company. This could include, but is not limited to, intellectual property issues, employment matters, litigation, corporate structure, various compliance and other regulatory schemes, and an array of other commercial agreements and activities.   The ideal candidate will draft, interpret and negotiate letters of intent, commercial leases, studio licenses, consulting agreements, management agreements, equipment rental agreements, service agreements, executive employment agreements, vendor and construction contacts and other ancillary real estate, entertainment, and commercial documents.   This candidate will directly report to the General Counsel with a dotted line to Senior Legal Counsel and will work closely with outside counsel on a range of transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS · JD degree · 1 to 4 years of experience working in any legal field · Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines · Motivated self-starters with a commitment to excellence and have the ability to thrive in an exciting and entrepreneurial environment · Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills · Must be a member in good standing of the California Bar   COMPENSATION The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $160,000 depending on experience.
