As Counsel, Fintech & Marketing, you’ll partner with a variety of internal stakeholders across the organization, including LRC, Marketing, Insurance, Capital/Fintech, Procurement, Product & Technology, and more, to help develop, execute, and support a broad range of matters across the Fintech, marketing, and other commercial legal areas.

You are intellectually curious, passionate about results, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, and energized by a fast-paced, rapidly evolving business environment. This exciting position will play an important role in Procore’s next phase of growth and continued success.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various types of marketing-related agreements

  • Advise on marketing strategies for our Fintech products and review advertising materials for compliance with laws and best practices

  • Create and build training and enablement materials and processes for global marketing efforts

General:

  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to various departments within the company on a broad spectrum of legal issues

  • Analyze complex legal problems, offer creative solutions, and make recommendations to support business objectives

  • Lead periodic employee training on matters relevant to areas of responsibility

  • Efficiently manage and partner with outside counsel in areas of coverage to maximize outside counsel value while meeting budget needs

  • Lead or support additional projects as needed, potentially including the ongoing ownership of longer-term programs

What we’re looking for:

  • Must be admitted, active, and in good standing with the state bar in which the position is located, or with another state bar and registered, or eligible to register, as in-house counsel with the state bar in which the position is located

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible commercial legal experience, acquired with an in-house legal department (gained ideally at a SaaS or other high-growth technology company)

  • Prior experience supporting a global marketing organization is a plus but not required

  • Ability to simultaneously manage diverse workloads, multiple client demands, and shifting priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment

  • Strong desire to learn the business and to function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team

  • High EQ, impeccable professional ethics, integrity, judgment, and demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information

  • Able to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive “can do” attitude to the workplace working collaboratively with other members of the LRC Department and with internal business partners
