The Business and Legal Affairs, Legal Administrator plays a vital role in supporting all functions of Symphonic’s Legal team, ensuring that the company records are well maintained and easily accessible, and contributing to the smooth functioning of daily operations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members.

What you will do //

• Enhance existing legal filing system and procedures
• Organize and categorize digital documents according to filing systems and procedures to ensure quick and accurate retrieval of documents and information
• Create and maintain a database of key contract terms and consistent tracking of same
• Conduct contract auditing in collaboration with the Finance team to ensure accuracy of contract terms
• Utilization of HubSpot, JotForm, G Drive, DropBox, and other applications in the contract auditing and maintenance process
• Select and implement contract management applications as needed
• Format and translate contracts
• Create, maintain, and administer contract templates
• Track key deal terms of clients, partners, services, and other types of contracts in all applicable formats consistently
• Consistently report to team members concerning contract term status
• Maintain active legal docket
• Provide litigation support as requested
• Track all stages of contract storage and maintenance post-execution
• Help ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and legal requirements
• Work in coordination with the General Counsel and the Business and Legal Affairs, Director to efficiently connect all stages of the contract process
• Provide administrative support by working closely with internal stakeholders (primarily, Legal, Content and Product teams)
• Create new accounts
• Ensure data integrity by verifying and correcting information as necessary
• Recruit, train, and manage another team member who will report to and support the Business & Legal Affairs, Legal Administrator
• Research and other responsibilities as assigned

What you need to have //

• High School Diploma
• 3 years of applicable legal experience (in-house or private Legal team support)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Be a team player who takes initiative, and has a strong desire to play a key role in enhancing Symphonic’s current process and procedure
• Efficiently prioritize and handle a high volume of document management at once in coordination with and at the direction of the Business and Legal Affairs Director
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Candidate must currently live in Charlotte, NC.

What will set you apart //

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5 years of experience as Paralegal or Legal Assistant in-house or private firm; or with a label, music distributor or other relevant music industry experience
• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese
• Great taste in music

Additional Insights //

• This position reports directly to the Business and Legal Affairs, Director under the General Counsel
• This position is remote but may require some office time and in person meetings as requested
• This role may require travel as requested up to 25% of the time
