Our Summer Internship Program: 
 
At Viant, we offer a personalized experience for interns, and our aim is to offer an experience that mimics what it is like to actually work here. We match qualified interns with projects and groups based on interests and skill sets, and fully embed interns within those teams.  As part of this program, you can expect an orientation, learning events, panel discussions and networking opportunities. You’ll also receive performance feedback from your manager as we may consider hiring you full-time or extend an invite to intern again next summer.  
 
Internships are paid, with a choice to start in May or June to accommodate varying school calendars. 
 
About the Role

We are on the lookout for a smart, collaborative and energetic Legal Intern to support our Legal Department. 
 
The position is a great opportunity for a law student interested in a fast-paced in-house public company legal department and overall environment. 
 

What you'll do:

  • Gain exposure to different practice areas and roles such as commercial transactions, data privacy and security, marketing, operations, finance, product development, and compliance.
  • Perform legal research and analyze relevant regulatory developments.
  • Review and analyze agreements (e.g., MSAs, NDAs, professional services agreements, SOWs, orders, etc.).
  • Assist with contract and document management.
  • Attend legal meetings and present updates to the Legal team.
  • Assist with other various legal matters (as needed).

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Completed your first or second year at a top tier law school.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Self-starter, dependable and able to work independently.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
