Job Description

Boutique law firm located in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida seeking a motivated and accomplished associate level transactional attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. As a Transactional Attorney, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of real estate and corporate matters, with a focus on residential, commercial, and corporate transactions. Estate and trust experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide sound legal advice and guidance on real estate matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, contracts, and other transactional documents
  • Represent clients in real estate closings, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide legal counsel on property development, financing, leasing, and zoning matters
  • Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions to facilitate smooth and efficient closings
  • Assist in resolving any legal disputes or issues that may arise during the transaction process
  • Stay updated on current real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Florida
  • Strong knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and legal principles
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating real estate contracts and transactional documents
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in estate and trust and/or probate related legal work is a PLUS.
  • Familiarity with Florida-specific real estate laws and regulations
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations, such as the Florida Bar Association or local real estate associations
