Job Description:

UPS is seeking a Government Contracts Compliance Supervisor to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The Government Contracts Compliance Supervisor supports compliance with the requirements of contracting with federal, state, local, and international governments. This position supports proposal management, contract negotiations, contract terms and conditions, and ongoing contract performance. The Government Contracts Compliance Supervisor assists in the development of policies and procedures, training and audit programs that are the framework for an effective compliance program. This position may supervise others within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders regarding business requirements, billing concerns, refunds, rebates, developing policies and procedures, and auditing to ensure procedures are followed.
  • Works with cross-functional groups to identify and resolve contract compliance issues.
  • Reviews contract details included in proposals, contracts, and modifications to validate acceptable versus red-flag contract provisions.
  • Supports drafting and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, standard contracts, and contract amendments.
  • Provides support to facilitate the contract signature process.
  • Maintains a calendar of reporting deadlines to ensure contract performance is uninterrupted.
  • Maintains an effective records management program to ensure contracting documents are properly stored and can be retrieved as needed.
  • Creates training, reference materials, and presentations.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Applies Service, Product, and Customer Technology Knowledge: Demonstrates familiarity with the core service offerings across business units and deep familiarity with product, service, and customer facing technology offerings of at least one business unit; demonstrates knowledge of competitors' offerings; compares UPS's and competitor's products, services, and customer facing technology solutions.
  • Distinguishes between "big picture" concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work; explains, in general, how details impact end goals or outcomes; ensures work is completed accurately and with the appropriate level of detail.
  • Applies knowledge of agencies' functions and regulations to compliance and enforcement activities; identifies routine situations requiring attention to ensure compliance.
  • Identifies and evaluates risks; determines and applies appropriate risk treatment(s).
  • Demonstrates the ability to use negotiation techniques in less complex situations; recognizes the potential impact of negotiation proceedings on the business; gains consensus from parties.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Required
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) – Preferred

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

  • Must be in the same location as the job or willing to relocate yourself.
