The Position

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining distribution, access, and pricing contracts across Genentech's portfolio. This includes leading cross-functional teams, establishing effective communication, and building collaborative relationships with various departments. The outcomes of this work directly impact Genentech's ability to compete effectively and maintain patient access. Expertise in managed care, pricing, contracting, and distribution, or the ability to quickly learn these dynamics, is essential for success in this position.

• You will partner with and influence internal stakeholders to develop and execute access, and distribution strategies
• You will provide expertise in managed care to drive contracting assessments for priority products and segments
• You will monitor, evaluate, and refine contract language and performance
• You will proactively identify legal, regulatory, privacy and other contract challenges and ensure compliance with laws and policies

This position is located in South San Francisco and relocation benefits are not available. Remote work options will not be considered.

Who you are:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 5 years of previous and relevant/transferable work experience
• Experience in, or demonstrated ability to learn, contracting, and building trusted customer relationships, in healthcare and (preferably) managed care
• Demonstrable knowledge of, or aptitude to learn, current policies and guidelines that affect contracts, pricing, rebates, etc. in managed care
• Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Preferred Qualifications:

• JD or other related graduate-level degree is a plus
• Previous contract drafting and negotiation experience or related experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry is preferred

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $112,000 and $208,000 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
