The Location: Remote in the US
Responsibilities:
- Serve as first line of defense for incident triage, determine when legal needs to be engaged.
- Tooling- use JIRA to create a PIR-specific case type to track and store privacy incidents
- Metrics and tracking; perform lookbacks on incident documents, to make sure all the facts are reflected and in JIRA for accuracy of data.
- Facilitate low to medium severity incidents end to end; kick off, document, mitigate, when needed conduct post-mortem.
- Work closely with business units, operations, product, engineering, legal, and other stakeholders to support the successful end-to-end completion of privacy incidents.
- Conduct research, gather facts, help contain, determine priority and engage with relevant stakeholders, assist timely legal review when incident requires notification to any regulators and/or impacted users.
- Contribute to ensuring compliance and identifying operational risks, escalating them to the appropriate teams. Take appropriate steps to mitigate and remediate risks, supporting the overall risk management efforts of the organization.
Requirements :
- 1+ years of experience handling privacy incidents
- Experience using Jira to create PIR-specif9c case types for tracking
- 1 year of dataP analytics experience to identify and active opportunities
- Possesses a deep respect and passion for protecting people’s data privacy.
- Has a sense of urgency for and commitment to Airbnb's mission of belonging.
- Hyper focused on privacy advocacy and building strong relationships.
- Self-motivated, proactive, with creative and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure to hit deadlines in an ambiguous matrixed organization.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to manage multiple privacy incidents and tasks concurrently while following the process.
- Enjoys using data and analysis to identify and activate opportunities.
- Organized and motivated, working towards a bias with action and impact on facts.
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance to help create structures and develop operational concepts.

Pay Rate Range: $24-$27/hour.
