Legal Assistant for Fortune 100 (Austin)

Posted Sep 25 We are seeking detail-oriented individuals who can work independently to process high-volume legal matters expeditiously, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, rules of civil procedure, and Google's internal procedures. Candidates will manage various legal inquiries and requests from external parties, including handling claims, disputes, and regulatory matters.
This is a vendor role with Vaco for a client's team, a Fortune 100 company. This position is hybrid at our North Austin location.
Responsibilities:
- Triage, index, and organize incoming legal process
- Review, analyze, investigate, and respond to legal process
- Communicate in writing with external entities
- Conduct research specific to court jurisdictions to include verbal communication with external parties
- Draft and send legal responses
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or 2 years of relevant work experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal ● Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks concurrently under deadlines ● Excellent communication skills
- Strong and efficient writing skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to professionalism and collegiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with litigation or regulatory investigations, electronic discovery, technology and/or the internet
- Experience navigating complex internal policies and workflows
- Project or Program Management skills
- Paralegal experience
Schedule Requirements:
- Monday to Friday, (Monday and Friday are work from home) Standard business hours
