The Staff Attorney for the Private Funds group will assist other attorneys in advising venture capital investors on venture capital investments and related matters, as well as advising on certain matters related to the operation of private equity and hedge funds, including transfer and similar agreements. In addition to reviewing investment documentation, the staff attorney will draft transfer agreements and other legal documentation for private investment funds.
Responsibilities
- Assist with venture financing transactions and related matters
- Assist with formation documents, commercial contracts, employment contracts and other legal documents related to family office clients
- Assist with transfer agreements and similar agreements in connection with operating private investment funds for a range of private fund clients
- Assist with other fund-related matters
- Assist with AML and KYC review and compliance
- Other tasks as needed
Education
Required
- J.D. from ABA accredited law school
- Must be admitted to California Bar by December 31, 2024

Salary Information
CA Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
