As a Senior Counsel - Litigation, you’ll develop and implement strategy across myriad legal issues, including but not limited to, financial services litigation, securities litigation, administrative or regulatory investigations, real estate law, employment issues and contract disputes. You’ll also advise the business and manage outside counsel to effectuate successful litigation outcomes and improve internal processes to proactively manage and reduce current and future risk.

To be successful in this role, you must be capable of communicating complex legal issues in simple terms to all levels of the business, including executive level leadership. You must be solution-oriented and cultivate a knowledge base that allows you to provide nimble, creative, and substantive support on projects. This role requires good judgment and sound decision-making skills: someone who is task-focused, can independently execute their own initiatives and perform well under pressure while managing multiple stakeholders.

About The Role

Manage day-to-day litigation strategy of complex commercial, business, and financial services litigation, including but limited to: Origination and servicing issues, Vendor disputes, Securities, Regulatory litigation (RESPA, FCRA, TILA, etc.), Fair housing, Employment litigation (FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA)Create, lead, and manage defense of administrative and regulatory investigationsProvide solution-focused recommendations and legal strategy to business partners and outside counsel to proactively mitigate riskManage outside counsel to create efficient, results-driven approach to complex litigationClearly and concisely communicate complex legal issues to appropriate business and legal stakeholders for consideration and actionLead all facets of internal investigations, witness preparation, and related activities to support litigation, complaint escalation, administrative charge defense, fair housing complaints, and external investigation defenseAble to excel both autonomously and as a part of a teamBuild cross-functional relationships with legal and business partners to drive information-sharing and sound foundations for proactive management and mitigation of risk

About You

Minimum Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 7-10 years of litigation experienceExperience defending administrative charges and regulatory investigations including FTC, CFPB, and state agencies across subject matters impacting financial services, securities law, fair housing, and employment law.
