Senior Policy Manager - (Tech Policy)

Location: New York City (1-2 days a week on-site) Unfortunately sponsorship is not available for this position

New opening for an experienced Senior Tech Policy Manager to be part of a growing Product Policy team within a technology company. You will create, implement, and enforce content policy for Trust & Safety. This is a cross-functional position working with multiple teams to ensure our Trust & Safety procedures are aligned with industry best practices.

Summary:

• You will be a senior member of a team of Policy experts on all policy creation, online policy, content policy, AI Research and global content regulations.
• Policy writing: misinformation, disinformation, politics, hate speech, fake news, crime, etc..
• Experience taking content policy products from initial strategy to framework design to full product launch.
• Work closely with product teams on the creation and implementation of new products with the goal of ensuring Trust & Safety procedures are aligned with industry best practices.
• Create content policy classification within video, audio, text for data labeling.

Experience must have:

• 3-4 years experience in product policy.
• Experience designing and implementing content policy.
• Experience in content moderation or content policy.
• Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Nice to have:

• Law or Legal experience. Having worked at a Law firm is a huge plus.
• NGO nonprofit experience.
• Content curation, online moderation or content classification.
• Responsible AI research.
• Social media or online content experience.
• Experience creating training and development programs.

Education: Bachelors or Master’s in public policy, Legal, Anthropology, Sociology, Communications, or related field.
