We are seeking an experienced Contract Attorney to join our team and provide high-quality legal support for a reputable law firm. This is a remote, contract-based position that offers flexibility and competitive compensation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal drafting, with a focus on motions and pleadings. Responsibilities

• Draft and review motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision and efficiency.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and drafting.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in all filings.
• Manage deadlines and ensure the timely completion of assignments.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in legal drafting, with an emphasis on motions and pleadings.
• Experience in insurance defense or general defense work is highly preferred, though candidates with plaintiff-side experience will also be considered.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• New York Bar highly preferred.

Additional Details

• This is a fully remote position.
• Candidates must be located outside of California.
• The position will run for 3-6 months with a possible extension.
• Compensation is $45-50/hour.
