Responsibilities The In-House Counsel role is an exciting opportunity for a recent law school graduate or early-career legal professional to gain hands-on experience as In-House Legal Counsel. This position offers mentorship and professional development while providing exposure to a variety of legal matters within the company.

Employment is contingent upon passing the bar exam. Candidates who have passed the bar in another state will need to meet Colorado's requirements for requirements for Single Client Counsel Certification. This position is based at our headquarters in Centennial, CO, and will be fully in-office.

  • Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, policies, and other legal documents.
  • Support compliance initiatives, including employment authorization verification and general corporate governance.
  • Conduct legal research and provide summaries on relevant corporate, employment, and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with FAST’s Human Resources, Legal Team, and business leaders on various legal issues.
  • Assist in managing external counsel relationships as needed.
  • Handle legal matters related to employee mobility, including reviewing and advising on immigration processes in collaboration with HR (immigration experience is not required).
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure company policies align with legal best practices and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (or current 3L expected to graduate).
  • 0-2 years of legal experience (internships, clerkships, or relevant work experience preferred).
  • Has taken the bar exam. Employment is contingent upon passing the bar.
  • Candidates who have passed the bar in another state must meet Colorado's admission requirements for Single Client Counsel Certification.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and risk-assessment capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Pay Range USD $110,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
