Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university plus 1-3 years of applicable Construction Management or Project Management experience in a Foodservice Equipment capacity OR a High School diploma or GED equivalent with 5-7 years of applicable Construction Management or Project Management experience in a Foodservice Equipment capacity
- Well skilled in reading blueprints, design layouts, and CAD drawings. Ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions based on analysis. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel and Word)
- Possess excellent oral and written business communication skills and the ability to foster strong, open lines of communication across all levels of the organization.
Preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD/Revit, AutoQuotes, construction site experience and 2- or 4-year college degree in CAD, Drafting, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. Previous SAP experience.
Essential Duties
- Prospect and develop leads/customers through all the sources and resources available.
- Meet or exceed sales, margins, and expense plans.
- Review construction reports, work with consultants and General Contractors to build relationships.
- Follow up on leads supplied by the supply-side sales force.
- Follow the contract policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the expeditious handling of projects.
- Perform project estimating, which includes equipment, labor, freight, delivery, storage, and installation services.
- Prepare and review quotations and bids within margin and credit guidelines provided by management.
- Attend job site meetings and on-site surveys as required.
- Maintain complete, accurate and up to date files on all projects.
- Request help and direction from management on projects exceeding his/her technical capabilities when and if needed.
- Secure signatures on contracts and their required documentation necessary to obtain credit approvals.
- Maintain daily contact with internal departments, customers, factory representatives, and other outside sources.
- Follow up and follow through with customers, vendors, management office and support staff
- Stay informed on new products, pricing, and other general and technical information as it relates to FED and the foodservice industry.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction by maintaining involvement in all project phases from initial contact, quotation, contract signing, delivery, installation and collection of all money owed.
- Responsible for assisting the Credit Department in all Accounts Receivable collection activities with special emphasis on the quick reaction to and resolution of any disputes impacting the prompt payment of outstanding A/R balances.
- Keep manager informed both verbally and in writing of issues within assigned area of responsibility and escalate issues beyond scope of authority to appropriate parties.
