We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Title President and General Counsel. The Title President and General Counsel is responsible for both legal and business operations of UTB’s Title companies. This position will drive growth and manage complex negotiations.

What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the company’s operations
• Oversee all legal matters, including compliance, risk management, and litigation
• Drive annual growth through business development and strategic partnerships
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry partners
• Lead negotiations for complex commercial transactions
• Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all departments
• Manage 1 direct report
• Responsible for general oversight of entire staff, 3-5 employees

Requirements

Your Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor Degree, Required
• Proven track record in executive leadership roles, preferably in the title insurance industry.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
• Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to build and leverage professional networks
• In-depth knowledge of real estate law and title insurance practices
• Proficiency in managing complex legal and business operations
• Minimum 15 years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial title insurance
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and their impact on title operations
• Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar
