The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is seeking expressions of interest for 3 x PO5 Crown Prosecutors in SEQ (1 in Brisbane and 2 in Ipswich). On behalf of the Crown and the State of Queensland, Crown Prosecutors appear as counsel in superior court trials and a range of other criminal proceedings and undertake circuit work throughout Queensland as required. Crown Prosecutors also mentor, supervise and provide professional development to legal and support staff.
There are 3 temporary flexible full-time positions available (1 in Brisbane and 2 in Ipswich) for a period of 6 months with possibility of extension.
About The Office Of The Director Of Public Prosecutions
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) represents the State of Queensland in criminal cases. The ODPP's significant responsibility is to prosecute criminal matters in the High Court of Australia, Court of Appeal (Qld), Supreme Court, Mental Health Court, District Court, the Childrens Court of Queensland, and the Magistrates Court (in limited locations and matters).
