What You'll Do
The Administrative Attorney position involves preparing and distributing necessary information for conferences, maintaining the conference calendar, and following up on conference activities. It includes organizing information for committees chaired or attended by the Justice, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements, and handling expense reports. The role also involves preparing and proofreading various documents, managing filing systems, and maintaining records. The position directs requests from the Justice to appropriate staff, collaborates with court offices for events involving the Justice, schedules CLE classes, submits them for credit, and ensures compliance with CLE requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited law school, have excellent academic credentials, possess superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills, and be proficient in computer technology. The position requires an active law license in good standing in any jurisdiction. An Administrative Attorney shall, at all times during employment with the Supreme Court, be an attorney properly admitted to the practice of law and be in good standing with the appropriate admitting authority of any state or territory of the United States.
Experience in a legal environment and knowledge of the state judicial system and state government practices is preferred. This position also requires considerable organizational and administrative skills, superb communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.
