The Legal Operations/Senior Legal Operations Specialist (eDiscovery Analyst) will assist Honeywell's Law Department and eDiscovery program with data preservation, collection, and transfer of employee assets and data in connection with legal hold, data preservation and collection obligations in support of litigation and anticipated litigation matters, internal and government investigations, and subpoenas. This is a hybrid office-based role located Honeywell's headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The eDiscovery Analyst will assist in providing recommendations to the legal and eDiscovery teams on best practices around the preservation, collection, and transferring of data. The eDiscovery Analyst will also assist in the development and implementation of eDiscovery policies, procedures, and workflows across Honeywell enterprise.

Additionally, this position will require collaboration and coordination with the eDiscovery team, in-house legal teams, outside counsel, eDiscovery providers, and internal business stakeholders. In addition, the eDiscovery Analyst will also collaborate with HON IT and Global Security stakeholders on the maintenance and administration of all current and future forensic tools, policies and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forensic imaging of employee laptop hard drives
  • Forensic imaging of employee mobile phones
  • Demonstrable experience with forensic collections tools such as Guidance Software (EnCase) and/or FTK (Forensic Tookit) and Cellebrite
  • Implementing and managing litigation holds in O365 by leveraging the O365 Purview Security and Compliance functionality including export, transferring, and processing of data items in RelativityOne
  • Ability to create, test and implement PowerShell and other scripts to support legal hold and eDiscovery program
  • Track the intake, imaging, inventory, and return of assets and evidence consistent with eDiscovery and Information Security tracking and Chain of Custody best practices including participating in custodian interviews
  • Transfer of data using FTP to third parties including validation, reporting and tracking
  • Leveraging the necessary IT, Active Directory, and mobile management systems to gain access to laptop and mobile phone assets for purposes of imaging
  • Preparing monthly KPI and incident reports
  • Collaboration with line of business technical teams for issue resolution and mitigation
