We have an immediate need for an experienced and motivated attorney to join Microsoft’s Corporate, External & Legal Affairs (CELA) team to support the Commercial Solution Areas (CSA) business in the role of Corporate Counsel. This high-impact, fast-paced role supports a team that plays a critical part in Microsoft’s commercial go-to-market strategy. It offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal issues at the intersection of AI, cloud, and security, while partnering closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to shape Microsoft’s global commercial execution.
The CSA organization is the connective tissue of Microsoft’s go-to-market engine, engaging across key disciplines such as engineering, marketing, field, and partner teams, to deliver customer-centric solutions that accelerate AI transformation. As part of Microsoft’s Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) organization, CSA sets the sales strategy for the company and leads execution across Microsoft’s core solution areas, including AI, cloud infrastructure, business applications, and security.
This role will provide legal support to the CSA team, partnering closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to advise on legal and strategic initiatives that drive enablement and execution of CSA’s global priorities. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the center of Microsoft’s commercial engine—where strategic design, technical enablement, and field execution converge. You will join the legal team that will help shape how Microsoft brings its most innovative technologies to market, ensuring legal compliance, managing risk, and enabling business impact at scale.

Legal Counsel IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $105,800 - $204,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $136,200 - $223,300 per year.
