Summary
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Partner to join our US Immigration Practice. This is a leadership role suited to a senior immigration professional with deep expertise in the field, strong client relationship skills, and a proven ability to drive business growth in a fast-paced, global environment.
As a Partner, you will be responsible for overseeing key client relationships, leading global program delivery, and advising multinational companies on complex immigration and global mobility issues. You will also play a critical role in expanding our client base and positioning the company as a market leader through thought leadership, innovation, and high-impact advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management:- Build and maintain strategic relationships with global clients, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored immigration solutions that align with their mobility goals and compliance requirements.
- Business Development- Drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, responding to RFPs, and leveraging your network and market insights to expand our client portfolio.
- Strategic Advisory & Compliance- Advise clients on the legal, regulatory, and operational aspects of global immigration and mobility programs. Provide expert analysis and guidance on law and policy developments, risk mitigation, and workforce planning.
- Policy & Program Development- Support clients in designing and implementing effective global mobility policies and governance frameworks. Conduct benchmarking and ensure alignment with legal requirements, business objectives, and best practices.
- Innovation & Program Optimization- Introduce technology, process improvements, and automation solutions to enhance efficiency, manage costs, and elevate the employee experience within client immigration programs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work with senior stakeholders across legal, HR, tax, and corporate functions to deliver integrated solutions that address the full spectrum of global mobility and immigration needs.
- Leadership & People Development- Lead and mentor high-performing teams, supporting technical development, quality assurance, and client service excellence.
- Government Relations & Advocacy- Act as a liaison with immigration authorities and regulatory bodies. Represent client interests during challenges and engage in advocacy efforts, including white papers, public consultations, and regulatory feedback.
- Thought Leadership- Monitor global immigration trends, draft client alerts and insights, and participate in conferences and forums to raise the firm’s profile and keep clients informed.
Role Requirements And Preferences
- Minimum Degree Required : Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.
- Preferred Fields of Study: Law.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience of US immigration law, with a focus on managing complex immigration cases and leading legal teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and handling escalations in a leadership capacity.
