Akerman LLP seeks an Intellectual Property Associate with 2 to 5 years of patent prosecution and trademark experience. Qualified candidates must have an electrical, computer or mechanical engineering degree, as well as prior experience prosecuting applications in the electromechanical and software art units, and preferably handling trademark clearance and opinion letters, and enforcement matters. Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member of The Florida Bar or willing to sit for the next exam, as well as be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
