Ballard Spahr is a renowned national law firm with 750 lawyers in 18 offices in the United States. The Paralegal position is within the Finance department supporting lawyers with closing multifamily real estate financings. Responsibilities include organizing and reviewing due diligence documents, preparing due diligence checklists and summaries, preparing routine transaction documents, assisting with legal research, drafting and proofreading transaction documents, preparing closing checklists and certificates, coordinating execution of closing documents, conducting closings and preparing transcripts, filing UCCs and other required filings, and traveling to client or trial sites as needed. The role requires significant experience with title & survey review, due diligence review, UCC searches/filings, and post-closing follow-up. The position is hybrid with a work schedule of 3 days a week in a Ballard office at one of several U.S. locations. Candidates should have commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, commercial lender, or related entity. Experience with Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac CME, and/or HUD-insured programs is a plus. A college degree is preferred.
