The Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission is a higher authority that reviews workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation cases, as well as tort victims’ compensation fund appeals, prevailing wage objections, and postsecondary degree hiring appeals. The Commission provides a team environment and small office atmosphere.

What You Will Do

Report directly to and advise the Commissioners
Manage a team of licensed attorneys
Assign and monitor cases among the staff attorneys
Analyze and summarize evidence
Conduct legal research
Draft legal memoranda, recommendations, proposed orders, and decisions for Commissioners
Proofread awards and orders
Assist with oral arguments
Provide guidance and advice on Sunshine Law matters
Draft fiscal note responses to proposed legislation
Draft and review proposed regulations
Answer legal and procedural questions posed by Commissioners and staff
Respond to inquiries from the parties and the public

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri
Member of The Missouri Bar in good standing
