We are expanding our Labor and Employment group and seeking a skilled, dependable, and experienced litigation assistant who can step into the role with confidence and minimal ramp-up time. This is a key opportunity to support a high-performing team where attention to detail, responsiveness, and knowledge of litigation processes are highly valued. Prior labor and employment experience is preferred, but demonstrated success supporting litigation attorneys is essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating the fast-paced nature of litigation practice, including State, Federal, and Appellate court systems, and should have solid e-filing experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Under the leadership of the Senior Manager of Legal Support Services, this position serves as the vital link between litigation attorneys, clients, and support staff. You’ll draft and file pleadings and other court documents, engage with clients, and maintain seamless collaboration across the office to ensure deadlines are met and confidentiality is upheld. After an initial period of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports multiple attorneys in litigation legal support teams in the preparation and filing of client legal documents.
  • Plans, produces, edits, and formats correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal filings in a timely manner while utilizing computer, transcription equipment, and other office equipment.
  • Electronically files pleadings and related exhibits in State, Federal, and Appellate courts.
  • Establishes and maintains calendar and deadline reminder systems, utilizing the Firm’s centralized docketing and calendar system.
  • Manages attorney calendars, schedules appointments, and coordinates travel arrangements.
  • Collaborates with administrative support staff (document production, receptionists, business office, etc.), including processing client billing and proofing documents returned from document production.

Experience And Education Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate Degree is preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of litigation or related legal experience required.
  • E-filing experience with State and Federal courts is required.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in the Labor and Employment practice area is a plus.

Compensation

For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in Los Angeles, CA, the expected salary range is $65,000 - $112,000 annually upon commencement of employment. Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications. This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
