Position Summary:

SolomonEdwards is seeking a contract Talent Acquisition Manager to provide temporary coverage during a maternity leave, with a strong focus on Business Transformation and Technical Recruiting. This role is instrumental in supporting our Consulting Practice by sourcing, engaging, and managing a bench of highly skilled consultants—particularly within the technology and digital transformation domains. The position combines full-cycle recruiting with strategic consultant engagement responsibilities, ensuring we maintain a ready, aligned, and motivated talent pool to meet current and future project demands. The contract TAM will work closely with cross-functional teams—including delivery and business development—to drive talent strategy, manage consultant pipelines, and support project resourcing across multiple practice areas.

This is a temporary, contract-based role with an anticipated duration aligned to the maternity leave period, but offers the potential for permanent conversion based on performance and business need.

Essential Duties:

Technical Talent Acquisition & Sourcing

  • Proactively source, identify, and recruit high-performing consultants with a focus on technology, digital, accounting, finance, and business transformation capabilities.
  • Develop and execute tailored sourcing strategies that address dynamic consultant demand and evolving market conditions.
  • Conduct initial screenings and technical assessments; ensure timely and accurate documentation within the applicant tracking system in compliance with internal and legal standards.
  • Coordinate end-to-end interview logistics, manage compensation discussions, and oversee onboarding readiness in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Align consultant skills and project interests with active and upcoming client engagements, ensuring a precise fit for role requirements and team dynamics.
  • Maintain awareness of employment regulations to ensure all recruiting activities adhere to compliant and ethical hiring practices.

Consultant Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with both active and prospective consultants, with a focus on long-term alignment and bench readiness.
  • Execute engagement strategies designed to enhance the consultant experience—including managing celebratory milestones, stay-in-touch programs, and pulse checks.
  • Monitor consultant availability, track bench pipeline status, and support reporting on talent alignment, readiness, and coverage gaps.
  • Lead the coordination of virtual and in-person consultant engagement events that reinforce community, inclusion, and brand loyalty.
  • Conduct post-project debriefs and support end-of-engagement feedback loops to drive continuous improvement in consultant experience.

Collaboration & Talent Reporting

  • Serve as a collaborative partner to Sales, Delivery, and Resource Management teams to ensure alignment between client needs and consultant capabilities.
  • Actively contribute to pipeline reviews, staffing discussions, and post-engagement debriefs to inform future talent strategies.
  • Maintain regular reporting on sourcing and engagement metrics, highlighting KPIs, performance trends, and areas for refinement across the talent function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least 2 years focused on technical, accounting, or finance recruiting within consulting or professional services.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal talent initiatives or consultant-facing programs that support engagement and delivery readiness.
  • Familiarity with SolomonEdwards’ service offerings, practice areas, and the broader consulting landscape is highly preferred.
  • Background in a Big 4 or management consulting environment is a strong plus and will be viewed favorably.

Job Specific Competencies:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and convey value to both consultants and internal stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy, detail orientation, and organizational discipline; able to manage multiple roles and shifting priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive and self-directed with a bias for action; thrives in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
  • Strong decision-making capability and a solutions-oriented mindset; comfortable navigating complex or ambiguous scenarios.
  • Skilled in the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing tools, and reporting platforms to support data-driven recruiting.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical abilities to assess talent alignment, market trends, and engagement effectiveness.
