Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager - Office of the Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to serve as the Senior Manager to Genpact’s Chief Legal Officer (CLO). The ideal candidate will have at least 3–5 years of professional experience, including time in a law firm and/or legal operations. This individual will serve as a liaison to the CLO, ensuring smooth coordination across the legal function and with key internal stakeholders. This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance in Genpact’s midtown NYC office at least 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the execution of legal department strategic plans and cross-functional initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison between the CLO and internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the Legal Operations team on:
• Budget planning and oversight
• Human capital management (e.g., headcount planning, recruiting coordination, onboarding)
• Legal technology and process improvement initiatives
• Lead and manage special projects and department-wide initiatives on behalf of the CLO.
• Support internal communications and knowledge sharing across the legal team.
• Track and report on key department metrics and performance indicators.
• Help prepare CLO for executive meetings, board updates, and external engagements.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• 3–5 years of relevant work experience, including law firm experience.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bias for execution and results.
• Comfortable working in a global, fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in legal operations or corporate legal departments.
• Familiarity with legal technology platforms (e.g., contract lifecycle management, matter management, legal billing, workflow tools).
• Experience working with C-suite executives.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Exposure to public company governance and reporting structures.
• Experience working in a global multinational company or other international experience.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced degree a plus.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $100k-$200k base. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
