Essential Functions

  • Draft fundamental estate planning and funding documents.
  • Review of advanced estate planning documents.
  • Draft probate and trust settlement documents.
  • Knowledge of the rules of procedure governing estate and trust administrations as they relate to this role.
  • Completing tasks and following through with issue resolution, including the ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least five years of experience working in a mid to large-sized Florida law firm as an estate planning or estate and trust administration Paralegal.
  • Florida probate experience.

Skills And Technology

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to effectively balance multiple assignments and workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail, essential for accurately drafting and reviewing legal documents.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience working with law firm case management and billing software required.
  • Knowledge of iManage, SmartTime, Aderant, Wealth Counsel, Estate Works, and Hot Docs are a plus.
  • Physical attendance at the place of work.
  • Generally, core working hours are from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
