About The Job
We are looking for a talented lawyer to become an Associate Product Counsel in our Display and YouTube Ads Legal team.
At Google, product counsel are the lawyers who work directly with the teams that design, build, and operate the company’s products. They act as a bridge between legal requirements and innovation, helping the company avoid costly mistakes while building products that are safe, effective, and lawful.
Product counsel understands the functionality of, and the technology incorporated in, the products they cover, as well as the business goals. They identify the legal risks, strategize on pragmatic ways to limit the risks, and convey their advice to product leadership, engineers, and business executives. In doing so, they will regularly collaborate with others, such as commercial counsel, legal specialists in privacy, competition, or intellectual property law, trust and safety teams, litigators, and public policy experts.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000-$312,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
