Under the leadership of the Chief Diversity & Attorney Development Officer, this position will support the coordination and execution of logistics associated with internal Attorney Continuing Legal Education (CLE) accredited programs and related educational initiatives. After an initial period of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages end-to-end logistics and production for internal programs (in-person, virtual, or hybrid) coordinated by the Diversity, Inclusion and Professional Development Department.
  • Reviews and approves CLE credit for internal programs as well as external programs coordinated by the Marketing team.
  • Participates in CLE planning and status meetings with the Marketing team to ensure effective coordination and delivery of the Firm’s CLE programs.
  • Maintains a library of internal CLE programs on TC Connect to support firm learning and professional development goals.
  • Oversees the Firm’s CLE compliance processes, including application filings, CLE system management, MCLE compliance monitoring, and internal documentation.
  • Prepares statistical and year-end reports for CLE Boards in accredited jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and timely submission in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Responds to inquiries related to CLE compliance, licensing, and jurisdiction-specific rules and procedures.
  • Ensures the Firm’s internal Attorney License Lookup platform remains accurate and up-to-date.
  • Monitors evolving CLE regulatory requirements, rules, and procedures and ensures internal processes align with current standards.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance CLE administration, efficiency, and client service.
  • Provides back-up support to the Attorney Development & CLE Coordinator.
  • Participates in special projects and ad hoc initiatives as assigned.
  • Serves as a liaison with bar and licensing authorities in various states on behalf of Firm attorneys, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of CLE accreditation requirements and compliance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Must possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest confidence. Required to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
  • Effectively leverages internal and external relationships to build productive partnerships and achieve departmental and firm-wide goals.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in fluent English; ability to compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; ability to communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction including online video meetings and audio communications including telephone calls, in person discussions, and online audio calls.
  • Must possess attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple projects, and strong time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations encountered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to process routine daily functions while being able to resolve sensitive issues and complex assignments utilizing above-average critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Experience And Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Substantial equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements will be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in CLE administration or a similar role preferred, ideally within a law firm or legal services environment.
  • Working knowledge of CLE accreditation requirements and MCLE compliance processes preferred.
  • Prior experience with data analysis, including presenting and reporting data, is preferred.

Compensation

For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in New York City, New York, the expected salary range is $68,000 - $78,000 annually upon commencement of employment.Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications.This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
