Posted Feb 23 Full TimeOn SiteCollierville, Tennessee The Paralegal will be a key member of the Legal and Risk Management team and assists in the following areas: litigation, employment law, contracts, regulatory matters, subpoena/records request processing, cyber-security, real estate leases, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate governance, and insurance, as assigned by the SVP, Legal and Risk Management.
Duties And Responsibilities

- Conducts internal and other computer assisted searches for information and documents, federal and/or state statutes, regulations, recorded judicial decisions and other legal sources and reference materials
- Performs administrative tasks including organizing and distributing information and documents, scheduling meetings, and records management
- Drafts memoranda and prepares matter and issue summaries and reports for review
- Maintains records of all litigation and arbitration matters and coordinates with outside counsel and carriers
- Maintains all records relating to the corporate legal entities and coordinates required filings and updates
- Interacts with various internal and external parties involved in the legal and risk management process
- Tracks and ensures that all deadlines are met in an accurate and efficient manner;
- Performs all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently and timely
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership;
- Assists in the development of an Enterprise Risk Management program
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in legal services or a related field or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
- Proficiency in Google Workspace preferred
- Proficiency in Lexis/Nexis or Westlaw for legal research
- Experience with document management and document management systems
- Experience in contracts, corporate resolutions, and other similar corporate items
- Gives attention to detail and follows instruction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management; maximizes productivity
- Collaborative and team oriented approach
- Based in or willing to move to the Memphis, TN area
Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment, where a computer and office equipment will be used as needed to perform duties. This is a full-time, on-site role.
- Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another
- Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse
- Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs
Travel
- Minimal travel required as needed for job related duties such as training, project work and administrative tasks
