We have an immediate need for a Litigation Paralegal to join our New York City office. This role is a great opportunity for a skilled Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment while proactively handling the needs of busy attorneys in the Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of IP litigation case management for U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and other relevant forums.
  • Prepare, draft, and revise litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, deposition summaries, privilege logs, trial exhibits, witness files, and case related correspondence.
  • Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, Markman proceedings, and trials.
  • E file documents through CM/ECF, PTAB E2E, and other federal and state court electronic filing systems.
  • Compile, organize, and maintain litigation case files using Firm databases and network drives, ensuring materials are accessible and current.
  • Employ Firm resources such as iManage, Relativity, and other litigation support tools.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between attorneys, clients, experts, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Manage document productions, including organizing data, preparing production logs, and communicating with e discovery vendors.
  • Assist with management of discovery deadlines, deposition schedules, expert timelines, and other critical litigation milestones.
  • Prepare and maintain case calendars, track court mandated deadlines, and ensure all litigation activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Support attorneys with IP specific litigation needs—including prior art research coordination, patent file history organization, claim chart updates, and technical exhibit preparation.
  • Work closely with clients, expert witnesses, and internal personnel to gather information, provide case updates, and support case strategy.
  • Assist with litigation related projects as assigned, including preparing status reports, organizing large case files, coordinating trial logistics, and supporting post trial activities.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • We prefer candidates with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of5 years litigation paralegal experience from within a law firm setting. Preferably with exposure to intellectual property or technical subject matter
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Proficiency in docketing systems, e-filing platforms and document management tools.
  • Experience should also include prior trial attendance and preparation for trial including use of trial presentation software (i.e., TrialDirector), case organization and management, calendaring and excellence in performing all traditional paralegal activities related to bringing mid- to large-scale commercial litigation matters to trial.
  • Experience with Relativity and cutting-edge e-discovery programs including technology-assisted review and predictive coding.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with attorneys, paralegals and secretaries and/or to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow through on multiple projects while continuing to be detail oriented.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and under the pressure of deadlines as necessary.
  • Limited travel is possible.

We are offering a wide range salary for this role as our salary will match up with the years of experience the successful candidate possesses, ranging from $100,000 - $135,000.
