POSITION OVERVIEW Fidelity National Financial (FNF), a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s largest providers of title insurance, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its in-house litigation trial teams throughout the country. The position requires strong trial preparation, in-court experience, legal research, and document management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with multiple attorneys across complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is comfortable supporting high-profile cases nationwide.

LOCATION This is a hybrid position based on one of the following offices:

  • Walnut Creek, California
  • Seattle, Washington
  • Travel required 1–2 times per month for trial support (travel duration may range from a few days to one week, with occasional longer trials)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support in-house litigation attorneys through all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial
  • Conduct advanced legal research, including high-level case law research, at the direction of General Counsel and senior attorneys
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, filings, trial exhibits, trial binders, and demonstratives
  • Manage and organize documents using document management and trial presentation software
  • Provide in-court trial support, including exhibit management, witness preparation assistance, and trial logistics
  • Coordinate with internal teams when matters escalate to litigation
  • Assist with special projects and litigation initiatives as assigned
  • Maintain accuracy, organization, and confidentiality across all litigation materials

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal supporting civil litigation
  • Demonstrated trial preparation and in-court trial experience
  • Strong working knowledge of court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
  • Experience drafting legal documents and performing legal research
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while supporting multiple attorneys
  • Proficiency with litigation technology, including document management and trial presentation software
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience using TrialDirector or similar trial presentation software
  • Background in real estate, title/escrow, or insurance defense litigation
  • Prior experience in an in-house legal department
  • Experience supporting high-volume or complex litigation across multiple jurisdictions

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This position has the potential to earn compensation in the range of $35.00 - $48.00 per hour based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location. The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
