Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Litigation Paralegal will provide critical support to the SVP, Head of Litigation & Employment, in managing employment and general litigation matters across the organization. This role will be responsible for case management, discovery coordination, agency responses, legal research, and day-to-day litigation administration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable partnering with internal stakeholders and outside counsel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Litigation & Case Management

  • Support overall case management, including maintaining workflows, task lists, status updates, timelines, and case organization.
  • Update and maintain the litigation database and tracking systems.
  • Manage day-to-day calendaring of legal deadlines, hearings, filings, and related activities.
  • Administer and manage legal holds across the organization.
  • Support projects aimed at improving legal policies, processes, and documentation practices.

Document Drafting & Review

  • Draft and review legal documents prior to filing by outside counsel.
  • Prepare federal, state, and local agency responsive statements.
  • Assist in preparing documents and exhibits for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
  • Respond to subpoenas and discovery requests.

Discovery & Investigations

  • Facilitate discovery responses, including gathering documents and information from internal departments and business partners.
  • Coordinate with witnesses and schedule and attend witness interviews.
  • Assist in preparing witnesses for depositions and other legal proceedings.
  • Investigate complaints filed with administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor (DOL), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Legal Research & Field Support

  • Conduct legal research to support ongoing matters and internal inquiries.
  • Respond to and facilitate responses to general legal questions from field leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison with outside and opposing counsel.

Budget & Administrative Support

  • Support legal billing processes, including invoice review and tracking against approved budgets.
  • Assist in tracking litigation spend and maintaining reporting metrics.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably with employment law exposure.
  • Experience working with outside counsel and managing multiple active matters simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures and administrative agency processes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with litigation databases and legal research tools.
