Boies Schiller Flexner LLP is seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for the Albany office. BSF employees have the opportunity to work on high-profile, cutting-edge matters alongside leading lawyers. The ideal candidate will be interested or experienced in the legal field, specifically in litigation. The candidate needs to be comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and proofread legal documents.
- Conducting legal and factual research.
- Electronic document review.
- Manage electronic documents for easy retrieval.
- Compose correspondence, memoranda, and drafts of routine documents for attorney’s review.
- Maintain client and administrative files in accordance with Firm procedures – maintain current lists of files, account numbers, client names/addresses and other information as required.
- Preserve and protect the confidences and privileged communications of all clients.
- Coordinate administrative support for trials, arbitrations or client meetings.
- Contributes to a team to accomplish related results as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and administrative skills are required.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills are required. This includes experience with all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols and/or experience as a legal assistant/paralegal are a plus.
