This role provides the opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, technology, and regulation while contributing to the development of compliant and scalable business operations. The Legal Officer will work closely with internal stakeholders across business, compliance, and operational teams, providing legal guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnerships. The position requires a proactive professional who is comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments and supporting business initiatives in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities Provide legal support for the company’s global operations within the virtual asset and Web3 industry, including assisting with licensing matters, regulatory compliance requirements, data protection considerations, and operational structuring. Support corporate governance activities such as entity formation, corporate modifications, and maintenance of statutory records across multiple jurisdictions. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including contracts required for product launches, strategic collaborations, and business partnerships. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that business initiatives and operational activities comply with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks. Analyze global regulatory developments related to virtual assets, cryptocurrency exchanges, custodial services, and decentralized finance, and provide legal interpretation and strategic guidance to internal stakeholders. Monitor changes in laws and regulatory policies affecting the digital asset industry and assist in developing internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks. Coordinate with external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions to support licensing applications, regulatory filings, and interactions with supervisory authorities. Provide assistance on other legal, regulatory, and corporate matters as assigned by the legal leadership team.

Qualifications A Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree is required. Admission to a state bar is preferred. Candidates should have at least one year of legal experience, ideally in an in-house legal department or a law firm environment, with demonstrated ability to independently manage legal tasks and drive matters to completion. Prior exposure to the virtual asset, blockchain, fintech, or broader financial services sector is preferred. Candidates without direct industry experience should demonstrate strong interest and initiative in understanding digital asset regulations and Web3 developments. The role requires a high level of self-motivation, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple legal projects in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and participate in legal discussions with business stakeholders. Fluency in Mandarin is required due to the need for communication with global teams and stakeholders.
