  • Provide legal rights presentations and workshops for caregivers and families
  • Represent caregivers in Probate Guardianship matters
  • Advocate for undocumented minors seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) and other humanitarian relief
  • Provide representation in matters including removal proceedings, asylum, adjustment of status, U-visas, and T-visas
  • Conduct client intake, prepare cases, and coordinate placement with pro bono counsel
  • Collaborate with volunteers, law clerks, and community partners

Qualifications

  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing (required)
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish (required)
  • Experience in immigration law or nonprofit legal services preferred
  • Experience working with children, families, or school communities strongly desired
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds

Benefits

  • 403(b) retirement plan
  • Healthcare and childcare flexible spending accounts

Commitment to Equity

To best serve the community, the organization actively seeks a diverse workforce that reflects the populations served. Candidates from traditionally underrepresented communities and historically marginalized groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
