About the Role
The Winston-Salem office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C. is seeking an associate with three to five years of litigation experience to join its commercial litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with experience in depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trials. This position offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility in a sophisticated and active practice involving complex litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with experienced litigation shareholders who provide active mentoring.
- Engage in direct client contact.
- Participate in hands-on professional development.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of litigation experience.
Required Skills
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience in depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trials.
- Motivated and detail-oriented.
- Sound judgment.
- Genuine interest in building a long-term practice.
Preferred Skills
Experience in construction and/or financial services litigation is preferred.
