Role

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced family law paralegal to play a key role on our legal team. We use a CRM, tracking systems, and meetings to keep case files current and well-organized. In this position, you will

  • Process case updates, monitor case stages, and maintain effective client communications
  • Draft legal documents, including affidavits
  • Prepare briefs and other trial-related materials
  • Conduct legal research to support trial preparation
  • Maintain case files and critical information in a structured and accessible manner

Compensation

$25 - $35 hourly commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings (e.g., complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, briefs, affidavits) under attorney supervision
  • Support trial preparation by conducting legal research, organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
  • Meet with clients to gather, clarify, and document information relevant to their legal matters
  • Manage client communications with professionalism and empathy, including handling calls and de-escalating situations
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure all documents are accessible
  • Coordinate office activities such as working with process servers and managing case-related logistics
  • Support the development and execution of legal strategies in family law matters, including use of case management technology

Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
  • Mac operating systems proficiency, Google Suite, MyCase, Excel, and other software tools to maintain accurate and accessible case records.
