Paralegal - Office of the Chief Legal Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and legal team. This role is ideal for a legal professional with prior experience supporting CLOs in public, global companies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing legal operations, coordinating cross-functional legal matters, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct legal and administrative support to the CLO, including document preparation, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external counsel on legal matters related to corporate governance, securities, and compliance.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, records, and databases with strict confidentiality.
  • Assist in preparing materials for board meetings and executive briefings.
  • Support due diligence and documentation for litigation, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Manage redline and blackline versions of legal documents to track revisions and ensure accuracy.
  • Facilitate signature processes and maintain records of executed agreements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and legal operations initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years supporting a CLO or General Counsel.
  • Experience working in a public, global company with exposure to SEC filings, board governance, and international legal matters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and corporate governance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Demonstrated success in managing redline/blackline workflows and document version control.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ESG reporting, compliance frameworks, and international regulatory environments.
