Mission Foods is seeking a Paralegal Assistant for a temporary 6‑month assignment , contracted through an external agency. This is a great opportunity for a legal professional looking to gain experience in a dynamic, fast‑paced organization.

This position will support the Company’s Legal Department by independently managing legal matters and projects, providing support across multiple practice areas, and serving as a key resource to attorneys. This role requires strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast‑paced corporate environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Contract Management & Commercial Support

  • Draft and review standard and non‑standard commercial agreements (e.g., NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, amendments) and contractual notices
  • Identify and flag legal, compliance, and risk issues for attorney review
  • Manage contract execution processes and maintain contract management systems

Litigation & Regulatory Support

  • Act as primary liaison with outside counsel on assigned matters
  • Coordinate document collection, review, and production
  • Track deadlines, maintain matter files, and assist with settlement administration

Legal Operations & Department Support

  • Manage intake and tracking of certain legal matters
  • Process legal invoices, prepare check requests, and coordinate vendor setup processes

Special Projects

  • Manage special projects assigned by attorneys

QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-4+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in an in-house legal setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of contracts and legal processes
  • Advanced ability to draft agreements using legal forms
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism with confidential information
  • Proficiency with legal technology platforms (contract management systems, SharePoint, e‑signature tools)
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision

Work Conditions
