Legal Assistant needed in our Century City office! The Legal Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Transactional Practice Group and boosting attorney efficiency by managing information and aiding in the delivery of legal services, including client interactions. This position demands a proactive attitude to ensure tasks are completed on time, exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This position will be expected to track and record their own billable time as applicable. Minimum of three years' experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm setting. Transactional practice experience preferred.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Handle general correspondence.
  • Filing of both physical and electronic documents.
  • Take client calls, connecting all incoming calls, including initial screening for potential clients.
  • Responsible for all aspects of client intake including collection of all pertinent information, file opening, engagement documents, etc.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings including videoconferences, and conference calls.
  • Manage attorneys’ contacts, schedule, and calendar.
  • Enter time for timekeeper and print reports as requested.
  • Process expense reports and check requests.
  • Revision and formatting of documents.
  • Transcription of dictated correspondence and documents.
  • Assist attorneys in preparation for meetings.
  • Maintain clients’ files, including preparing documents for signings.
  • Manage information through various firm databases, including but not limited to MS Teams, Word, Excel, iManage, and other platforms.
  • Strong willingness to learn and the ability to interpret and follow instructions quickly and efficiently.
  • Assist with billing processes and follow up on AR collection.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Provide other general legal and non-legal administrative support to attorneys.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $105,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
