Nesco Resource has partnered with a prestigious law firm in NYC in their pursuit to hire a Legal Assistant with litigation experience. This is a temporary to hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist attorneys with client communication, revising legal documents including motions, exhibits, pleadings, straight typing, edits and answering phones
  • Must be proficient in MS Word
  • Enter attorney time using iTimekeep
  • Submit expense and reimbursement reports using Chrome River
  • Manage and prioritize incoming email and correspondence
  • Proofread work for accuracy
  • Ability to function effectively in stressful situations; exhibit professional maturity
  • Uphold a professional demeanor at all times. Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation with legal staff, peers and administrators.

Qualifications:

Type 55+ words per minute

Excellent grammar, spelling and organizational skills

2+ years experience as a legal assistant supporting litigation

Hybrid Hours:

Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Minimum 3 days a week in office

2 days a week remote
