Job Location: This position will be located in the Broadway State Office Building at 221 W. High Street, Room 230, Jefferson City MO. All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

What you’ll do: This professional-level administrative support position is responsible for a wide range of complex functions supporting the needs of the Special Counsel and Privacy and Records Management Units. The Administrative Assistant provides direct support to the Units’ executive leadership team and ensures high-level coordination across operational, legal, and administrative functions. In addition to providing direct support, the duties of this position include assisting in statewide management and oversight of the unit’s contracting needs; tracking and compiling data and other metrics; generating reports; and assisting in other activities to support the overall performance and direction of the units. This position reports directly to the Chief of Privacy.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires three or more years of administrative experience in a professional office setting, or an associate degree in a business operations or support field with at least one year of related experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 and able to learn additional software programs. Familiarity with standard office equipment, strong organizational and time‑management skills, and excellent written and verbal communication are essential. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism and a customer‑service‑focused approach. Experience in legal support is preferred.
