Salary: $65K - $75K

Position Overview: We are seeking a Paralegal/Legal or Administrative Assistant to join the Labor and Employment Legal Team. Someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic setting. This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple responsibilities, from maintaining case files to scheduling key meetings with union representatives and legal teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and an agent of efficiency—someone who anticipates needs and streamlines processes without constant direction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage attorneys' calendars, schedule calls and meetings, and coordinate appointments with clients and internal teams.
  • Create and maintain case status sheets to ensure up-to-date tracking of ongoing matters.
  • Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, and summaries.
  • Organize, file, and maintain legal and administrative documents for easy accessibility.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, including presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to draft and manage spreadsheets, reports, and other case-related materials.
  • Communicate professionally with union representatives, municipal agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys to improve workflow and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience : 3+ years of experience in a paralegal, professional assistant, or legal administrative role. Experience in labor and employment law or working with unions is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Self-starter with an intuitive approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly adaptable, with a proactive mindset focused on efficiency.
